This hands-on course introduces basic principles of incision making, instrumentation, tissue handling and wound closure, as it relates to rodent surgery specifically. Students will practice incisions and wound closure on cadavers and/or models, using both steel clips and basic suture patterns.

Learning Objectives:
This course is applicable to the new rodent surgeon and individuals looking to develop basic principles in rodent surgery and have already attended the "Aseptic Technique for Rodent Surgery" course.
"Aseptic Technique for Rodent Surgery" must be taken prior to or congruently with this course.
