Biomethodology Courses

Sessions cover a range of theoretical and practical aspects of working with laboratory mice.

The main strains of mice and their characteristics are discussed, mouse anatomy, identification, dosing and sampling. Dissection techniques and collection, as well as the preservation of tissues for laboratory assays, will be explained.

The practical aspects of the course allow plenty of time for participants to practice various techniques as befits their individual requirements. Participants are given an illustrated handout with practical information for later reference. At the end of the course, participants who have achieved a recognized standard in the practical aspects will be given a certificate identifying the skills attained and the level of competence achieved. This can be used to amend their personal training record.
