This course will provide hands-on instruction for selection and practice with wound clips, basic suture materials and basic suture patterns as they apply to rodent surgery.

This course will provide hands-on instruction for creating and maintaining a sterile field and proper aseptic conduct during rodent surgery.

This hands-on course introduces basic principles of incision making, instrumentation, tissue handling and wound closure, as it relates to rodent surgery specifically. Students will practice incisions and wound closure on cadavers and/or models, using both steel clips and basic suture patterns.
